Some passport application types can be mailed-in.
If you are applying in person at the Embassy, an appointment is required.
Passports are printed in Australia.
You should allow a minimum of 6 weeks processing time from payment, so planning ahead is important. Priority passport services are not available overseas.
Australian citizens residing in Cambodia are required by the Cambodian government to always hold a passport or travel document with at least six (6) months validity. It is the responsibility of individuals living overseas to ensure their passport is renewed in advance to meet requirements for the country they live in.
