  • The Australian Embassy is pleased to support the ‘Histories of the Future’ exhibition - showcasing Cambodia’s contemporary art links with Australia. The exhibition will run at the National Museum of Cambodia from 1 July to 31 August 2016.  Photos from the opening ceremony are available here.

  • On 26 May, the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh hosted an event to showcase the New Colombo Plan in Cambodia. View photos from the event here and hear about the experiences of NCP students in Cambodia here.

  • The Anzac Day Dawn Service was held in Phnom Penh on Monday, 25 April 2016, at the Australian Embassy. Photos from the event are available here.

  • On 17 February 2016, the Chargé d’Affaires, Mr Simon Fellows, hosted an event to launch the 2017 Australia Awards Scholarships and welcomed home the 2015 graduates. H.E. Chea Sophara, Minister of Rural Development gave the keynote address. Photos from the event are available here.

  • On 9 November 2015, the Australian Embassy was pleased to host a concert by Australian music icon, Paul Kelly, with guest appearances by Julien Poulsen and Srey Channthy from the Cambodian Space Project, and the Messenger Band (Photos).

  • The ANZAC Day Dawn Service was held in Phnom Penh on Saturday, 25 April 2015, at the Australian Embassy. Photos from the event are available here.

  • On 18 April 2015, the Australian Embassy presented a concert by Astronomy Class featuring Srey Channthy of the Cambodian Space Project, titled “Golden Age of Cambodian Pop Meets Australian Hip Hop”.

  • The Australian Embassy Phnom Penh, in conjunction with the ARTplus Foundation, Meta House and Simphony Music School, supported a performance by Australian saxophone duo halfsound as part of the Classical Music Concert Series at Meta House Gallery, on Sunday 8 March at 8pm.

  • On 11 February 2015, the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, HE Ms Alison Burrows, hosted an event to launch the 2016 Australia Awards Scholarships and welcome home the 2014 graduates. HE Say Samal, Minister of Environment gave the keynote address. Photos from the event are available here.

  • On 23 January 2014, the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, HE Ms Alison Burrows, hosted a reception to celebrate Australia Day. HE Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Royal Government of Cambodia, attended the reception as Guest of Honour and delivered the keynote address.   • On 11 December 2014, the Australian-funded Cambodia Agricultural Value Chain program (CAVAC) handed over 5 irrigation schemes it constructed in Takeo province to local authorities. These 5 schemes have the potential to irrigate 7,050 hectares of land, which will directly benefit around 4,600 farming households. The event was chaired by HE Veng Sakhon, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology. More details and photos are available here.

  • On 21 November 2014, the Australian Embassy and the Australian Alumni Association of Cambodia (AAA-C) hosted the 20th Anniversary of the Australia Awards in Cambodia. Ambassador Alison Burrows and HE Dr Hang Chuon Naron, Minister for Education, Youth, and Sport, gave keynote addresses and HE Say Samal, Minister of Environment, was awarded the AAA-C’s 2014 Alumnus of the Year award.   • On 26 September the Governments of Cambodia and Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding that provides permanent settlement and integration support in Cambodia for refugees. The Hon Scott Morrison, Australia’s Minister for Immigration and Border Protection and His Excellency Mr Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Cambodia issued a joint statement on the MOU. The Statement and a copy of the MOU is available here. On 26 September Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms Julie Bishop, announced additional development assistance for Cambodia.   • On 17 September the Governments of Cambodia and Australia held the 10th biennial consultations on Australia’s development cooperation program to Cambodia. The consultations were hosted by the Royal Government of Cambodia at the Palais du Gouvernement in Phnom Penh. The official summary of discussion is available here.

  • On 2 July, the Australian Embassy hosted a reception for Cambodian entrepreneurs and the Australian business community with Ambassador Alison Burrows and His Excellency Sok Siphana as guests of honour. Photos from the event are available here.
