Vacancy 1 - Executive Assistant & Public Diplomacy Officer

The Australian Embassy is seeking applications for an Executive Assistant to the Ambassador & Public Diplomacy Officer.

The position provides high-level executive support to the Australian Ambassador, including organising official events and functions. The position also contributes to the Embassy’s public diplomacy agenda, including campaign implementation and supporting the Embassy’s social media and online presence under the direction of the First Secretary – Public Affairs.

This position is available immediately, and after an initial three-month probationary period, the successful candidate may be offered a 24-month contract, with the possibility of renewal and ultimately permanent employment.

A competitive salary package is offered, including participation in a performance management and bonus scheme. The basic monthly salary range for the position is USD1,406 to USD1,706.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance and must therefore hold citizenship of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the USA or the United Kingdom and be entitled to work at a diplomatic mission in Phnom Penh.

Vacancy 2 - Senior Program Manager, Public Health

The Australian Embassy is seeking applications for a Senior Program Manager, Public Health. At least one vacancy will be filled through this process, with suitable candidates merit listed for future vacancies.

Under limited direction, the Senior Program Manager, Public Health manages Australia’s development assistance in health to Cambodia. The role includes provision of policy advice and reporting, program management to ensure implementing partners meet key objectives, the maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders, the facilitation of donor harmonisation activities, and the coordination of monitoring and evaluation activities, in accordance with DFAT policies and procedures.

This position is available immediately, and after an initial three-month probationary period, the successful candidate may be offered a 24-month contract, with the possibility of renewal and ultimately permanent employment.

A competitive salary package is offered, including participation in a performance management and bonus scheme. The basic monthly salary range for the position is USD2,603 to USD3,164.

Vacancy 3 Migration Case and Engagement Officer
(Locally Engaged Staff – LE4)

The Australian Embassy is seeking applications for a Migration Case and Engagement Officer. At least one vacancy will be filled through this process, with suitable candidates merit listed for future vacancies.

Note Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance and must therefore hold citizenship of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the USA or the United Kingdom and be entitled to work at a diplomatic mission in Phnom Penh.

With general direction, and within established procedures, legislation and policies, Migration Case and Engagement Officer (MCEO) undertakes a range of duties including visa citizenship processing and delegated decision making, providing guidance and being a point of escalation for Visa Processing Officers (VPOs) and the performance of procedural, clerical and administrative tasks. The MCEO also works to established policies and procedures to analyse visa and citizenship caseloads for integrity issues and liaises with national, provincial and communal level officials regarding identification and official documents.

The MCEO is also responsible for stakeholder engagement including supporting the Home Affairs First and Second Secretary with interpretation at meetings and events and in providing Khmer language information sessions and training. 

This position is available immediately, and after an initial three-month probationary period, the successful candidate may be offered a 12-month contract, with the possibility of renewal.

A competitive salary package is offered, including participation in a performance management and bonus scheme. The basic monthly salary range for the position is USD1,406 to USD1,706. Non National Allowance (USD 1,631) may apply to the position, assessed on an individual basis. Other benefits and conditions will be governed by the LES conditions of service.
