Witnessing renewal of an Australian driver's licence

 

Australian driver's licence records are maintained and issued by state and territory governments. The Australian Embassy is unable to renew Australian driver's licences for individuals. Please refer to your relevant state or territory government website below for information on how to renew a driver's licence while overseas:

Services we can provide

Your renewal form may require your signature to be witnessed by a Consular Employee, AND/OR certified true copies to be produced of your identity documents. If either of these is required by the Licensing Authority, you will need to make an appointment to attend the Embassy in person. Bring along the form and any other documents the Licensing Authority requires for proof of identity (details are on the form).

Fees will be charged based on the type and the quantity of services the Embassy is required to provide by the Licensing Authority.
