Parent’s identity documents can be certified by the original issuing authority, by a Notary Public or by the Australian Embassy. Note: the Australian Embassy can only certify original documents if physically presented at the Embassy, and only prior to lodgement of a passport application. A fee is applied to these Notarial services. Do Not mail the original documents to the Embassy when lodging the application. - How will I know if/when my application has been received at the Embassy?
