For an adult renewal you will need a passport that:
- was issued when you were aged 16 or older
- was issued on or after 1 January 2006
- when it was issued, had at least two years’ validity
- has your current name, date of birth and gender
- has not been reported lost, stolen or cancelled.
If you are not eligible for a renewal, you will need to complete and lodge a new passport application in person, by appointment only.
If you are eligible for a renewal, you can then either make an appointment to submit your application in person, or follow the steps below to submit by mail.

How long will it take? |
Please allow a minimum of six (6) weeks to receive a new passport once payment has been taken. PLEASE NOTE incomplete applications will cause delays. |
